“Color-blocking” has become a big clothing trend in 2011/2012. Can’t decide between lime, lavender or pink for your wedding color? Use them all! Most bright colors compliment each other while most dark colors also compliment each other. If done the right way, dark and bright (such as navy blue and bright yellow) can be mixed. You can even color-block your gown or your bridesmaid gowns. Do this with bridesmaid dresses by having either the same dress with multiple colors in it, or multiple dresses of different solid colors.

Feathers have been a big hit in general for the past year. In weddings, peacock feathers seem to be the most popular; particularly in the Fall/winter because of their dark, rich color scheme. These feathers are beautiful, classy and elegant and the meaning itself goes far beyond their appearance. Peacocks are known to maintain their beauty even in distress while peacock feathers are said to protect the wearer. They can be done with anything in weddings such as on dresses, hair accessories, in bouquets flowers, on cakes, in invitations and on shoes. I’ve even seen multiple bridesmaids dresses based around colors of the peacock. If you want to go all out, you can have some actual peacocks walking around your wedding!

Our goal for every bride is to be just a bride for the last few weeks before she gets married. We take over everything, this way the bride can just enjoy family and friends for the last few weeks before her big day.
We will keep in contact with all vendors and they will know if there is a problem to contact us not the bride. On the day of your wedding, we will make sure everything is place in the appropriate place and are made (flowers& cake) to your specifications. Every last detail we would take care of so when you walked in the ceremony site and reception site all you can do is smile. We stay entirely through the event and direct all events such as 1st dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, exit, etc. We will make sure everything that is yours is packed up and given to the designated person, (Mother, Mother in law, etc). We will be at the site until everything is taken care of.
Every bride should be a relaxed and refreshed, so she can just enjoy her day.

Everyone seems to be “going green”. Quite a few people want to contribute by holding eco-friendly weddings. Some amenities can include recyclable paper invitations, plates, cups, napkins, tablecloths and seeds to plant as wedding favors! You can even avoid being wasteful by having buffet-style food, using rocks as weights for outdoor weddings, throwing biodegradable confetti and using tiny plants (that guests are able to take) as table décor. Some couples are even going as far as contacting other married couples for their used wedding décor. After all, you’re probably not going to need hundreds of little candleholders in the near future.

DIY Weddings are wonderful but ask for help, don’t try to do all this yourself. If you try to, you will go crazy! Have the vision and either hire someone to follow through with it or have friends and family members help you.

Today, is an extremely special day for myself and so many special women out there. While this is technically not my first Mother’s Day, it is my first holding such a precious child in my arms! I cannot begin to express how amazing it feels to be mom to my incredible little man.

Tiers of cupcakes in place of a wedding cake is an amazing trend that hopefully sticks around. Not everyone may like the flavor of cake you chose and individual cupcakes are much cheaper and a lot less messy! You can have identical cupcakes built to look like a wedding cake, or you can have multiple cupcakes with different designs. Can’t decide if you want red velvet, German chocolate, or raspberry truffle cake? You can have all three.

You can always incorporate favors with escort cards. For example – Jars of jam with names and table numbers written on them. This saves time and money.
